Air dried oak is selected if a structure is designed to contain large areas of glass. It is possible to preserve the simple elegance of a frame design by using 24mm double glazing units fitted directly into the Oak frame.

Direct glazing is weather proof, insulating and maximises natural light. Ventilation can be achieved by opening windows made in kiln dried oak individually designed to suit the structure. Trusses and other shaped features can be glazed by supplying templates to the glazier
roofs can be part or fully glazed. Toughened double glazed units can be fixed in an aluminium weather proof system, designed to accept lead work for a traditional finish.
