Timber Framed Building Extensions
Designing a frame such as a two story dwelling requires careful consideration and thorough research. A frame can be designed with a number of physical references such as the topography of the proposed site the direction of sun and the prevailing wind.
Traditional carpentry does not have to mean old fashioned. The carpentry joints we use have been in use for hundreds of years yet they are versatile enough to build a wide range of structural designs. By combining traditional Oak carpentry, with large areas of glazing, living spaces can full of natural light.
An exciting way to increase the size of a property is with a well designed Oak frame. A frame design can incorporate a multitude of features which can be chosen to suit the individual needs of each project. Features may include jettied gables, (protruding upper floor) fully glazed gables, Folding door systems, individually designed stair cases, Open truss bedroom ceilings and exposed beam and joist ground floor ceilings
